Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the information you give us when you book a job or call for help.
What we collect
When you call us. Your name, the phone number you called from, the location of the vehicle, and a description of the vehicle and the problem. We need all of it to find you and do the work.
When you use the booking form. Whatever you type into it: name, phone, city, where the vehicle is parked, and any notes you add.
When you visit the site. Standard web server records, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages you looked at. If analytics are running, those collect aggregate usage data about how the site is used.
We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, your social insurance number or any banking detail beyond what a card terminal processes at the point of payment.
Why we hold it
To reach you, to quote the job, to turn up at the right place, to send a receipt, and to keep a record of work done in case there is a question about it later. If you have asked for a recurring wash, we keep enough to schedule it.
Payments
Card payments are taken on a terminal supplied by a payment processor. The full card number never reaches us and we do not store it. An e-transfer shows us the sending name and email, which is unavoidable and is all we keep.
Who else sees it
Nobody, in the normal course of business. We do not sell contact details, we do not share them with marketing companies, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you called us once.
There are three narrow exceptions. Service providers who make the business run, such as the company that hosts this website and the payment processor, necessarily handle some data on our behalf. If you ask us to arrange a tow with another operator, we pass on your location and vehicle details so they can reach you. And we will disclose information where the law requires it, such as a court order.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to function. If analytics or an advertising pixel is added later, this section will be updated to say so. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
How long we keep it
Job records are kept for a few years, because tax rules require business records to be retained and because a dispute about work can arise long after the day itself. Form submissions that do not turn into a booking are deleted once they are clearly stale. Server logs rotate on the host’s own schedule.
Your rights
Under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction if it is wrong, and withdraw consent for us to keep using it. Phone or email us and we will deal with it. There is no form to fill in.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Access to booking records is limited to the people who need it to do the work. We are a small operation rather than a bank, so we keep as little as possible, which is the most effective protection available to us.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
Contact
Questions about any of this go to (672) 472-8510, or through the contact page.
Note for the site owner: this is a plain language starting point written for a small owner operated business in British Columbia. Have it reviewed before launch if you add analytics, advertising pixels, online payments or a mailing list, since each of those changes what has to be disclosed.
